Covered outdoor spaces benefit from ceiling-mounted outdoor patio heaters because there is no need to sacrifice floor-space and you ensure an even distribution of heat. Moreover, our range of heaters fit every possible aesthetic regardless of the size of the area, as long as the minimum clearance between floor and heater is 8 feet. There are multiple ceiling mounting poles at your disposal that ensure your heater has an optimal heating radius. Even if your ceiling is slanted, ceiling-mounted heaters are an option. By adding a wedge to the mounting pole the heater and floor can be perpendicular to one another.

Why Flush-Mounted Heaters Could Be Right for You
Another popular option for covered outdoor patios are flush-mounted heaters which are suitable for new builds and for retrofitting. This is also referred to as recessing outdoor patio heaters in a cavity in the ceiling and ensures the heater is fully absorbed into your outdoor space. As with pole-mounted options, the area receives an even blanket of heat without losing floor-space. However, flush-mounted heaters do not obstruct your view.
Flush-mounting options are available for Bromic’s Platinum Electric, Platinum Marine and Tungsten Electric series. When considering a flush-mounted heater, ceiling cavity clearance must be taken into account and a recess kit is required. The Tungsten Electric Recess Kit needs the ceiling cavity to be at least 21.1” while the Platinum Electric Recess Kit, depending on model, requires a cavity between 7.1” and 10”. A Low Clearance Recess Kit is available for 2300W and 3400W models from the Platinum series. The 4500W model requires a cavity clearance of 10”. Another consideration is how close the heater will be installed to light fixtures and ceiling fans.
Are Wall-Mounted Heaters the Right Option for Me?
Some outdoor areas are uncovered or have slanted or vaulted ceilings which are unsuited to ceiling-mounted options. In these cases, wall-mounted heaters are an ideal solution. They are attached to a wall or structure by wall brackets that are available for different Bromic heating solutions.
The brackets for the Platinum and Tungsten series can support weights of 16 to 22 pounds and can be rotated between a 15 and 45 degree angle, depending on the specifications of the heater. These heaters must be installed 6 feet above the ground and at least 5 feet away from structures that are above it. Eclipse Electric can be wall mounted with a curved mounting pole.
